Neofonie WeTab does Android apart from MeeGo Linux

While we all know that the Neofonie WeTab 11.6-inch tablet is running on a custom version of MeeGo Linux, it also ain’t too shabby to know that Google’s Android operating system will also run just fine – as long as it is a virtual machine booted from within MeeGo itself. To put it in layman’s terms, Linux applications as well as Android apps can be run on the tablet. Just like the majority of other Android-powered tablets, the WeTab will have a disadvantage in the sense where it cannot fully access the Google Android Market, but will instead run AndroidPIT’s third party app store. While the downloading and installation process might be just as easy, the lack of selection is something of concern.
