Xbox Game Pass adds Vampire Survivors, Pac-Man, and more

Another month means another new batch of games coming to Xbox Game Pass. Microsoft’s hit gaming subscription service is getting another smorgasbord of new titles, including the hit early access title Vampire Survivors, and a day one addition in Pac Man Museum+. Set to hit Game Pass PC on May 19, Vampire Survivors is perhaps the most notable addition here. The early access title (that we previously called “the closest thing to a killer app for the Steam Deck“) throws players in the middle of a monster hoard and simply tasks them with surviving. Players need to dodge and slash through endless waves of enemies as they level up their arsenal. May’s Game Pass is also dropping quite a few brand new releases that’ll launch on the platform day and date. Pac Man Museum+ (Cloud, Console, and PC), Hardspace: Shipbreaker (PC), Umurangi Generation Special Edition (Cloud, console, and PC), Little Witch in the Woods (Game Preview) (Console and PC), Floppy Knights (Cloud, Console, and PC), and Sniper Elite 5 (Console and PC) are all being added to the library the day they release. Here’s everything coming this month, along with what platforms they’ll be available on. A new month also means these games are leaving Game Pass on May 31. You can still use your membership to purchase them at 20% off before they leave. August is going to be a big month for all of us Xbox fans out there. Xbox has already confirmed it will have a big presence at Gamescom, with tons of playable demos for upcoming video games, as well as its new ROG Xbox Ally handhelds on the showfloor. That’s a ton to look forward to later in the month, but there are a slew of new Game Pass games you can get excited to play this very weekend. The first wave of games has been announced and I did the difficult work of sorting through the new additions to pick out only the three standout games you should play this weekend. Whether you want a big single player adventure, a more introspective narrative game, or something that can’t be so easily described, these are the games to play. Assassin’s Creed Mirage Xbox has already released a lot of its plans for Gamescom this year, including the fact that Silksong will be playable on its upcoming handheld. Sadly, very few of us can make the trip to Germany just to play that and all the other games coming to Xbox Series X this year, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of new games for us to dive into this weekend. In fact, one of the most exciting games of the year was quietly added to Game Pass in early access, making it the perfect game to grab some friends and jump into. That is in addition to a deep sim title and a game that needs no introduction but you might not realize is back on the service. That’s enough teasing from me, though, so let’s talk about three Game Pass games you can’t afford to sleep on this weekend. Grounded 2 (early access) As the shadow of Gamescom looms in the distance and promises tons of updates on upcoming video games, Xbox Game Pass has decided to drop one of the best waves of new games all year. We have not just one, but two day one additions to the service that could each be considered one of the best of July for very different reasons. But even though my third pick isn’t brand new to Xbox, it is one of those overlooked titles that I am thrilled to highlight alongside these juggernauts. The spread this week is near-perfect in my eyes, with options for purely single-player action, co-op action, and a more chill and introspective adventure. These are three amazing Game Pass games I will be playing all weekend long, and I think you should too. Wuchang: Fallen Feathers
