Samsung’s Galaxy TabPro S2 will be the second Windows 10 Samsung tablet

Samsung is working on its second Windows 10 tablet, the Galaxy TabPro S2, according to SamMobile.com. The site says there will be four models, SM-W728, SM-W727, SM-W723, and SM-W720, but doesn’t provide a lot more detail. There’s speculation of seventh-generation Intel Core M processors, and a 12-inch Super AMOLED 2,160×1,440 display, but not a lot in terms of specifics. Until we see more, we’re not sure whether Samsung can take on the Surface Pro 4 We know what we’d like to see, however: a better keyboard. The keyboard cover on Samsung’s previous tablet, the Samsung TabPro S, was attached only with a very weak magnet. Set the tablet up in laptop mode and jostling things could result in the tablet falling flat on its back, or (God forbid) on the screen. And the keyboard itself was bad, with flat keys that are hard to tell apart by feel and basically nothing in terms of feedback. Here’s hoping the next device does better. Another improvement we’d like to see: more ports. The TabPro S offered a single USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack, and nothing else. Windows 10 devices should offer more than that, so here’s hoping Samsung steps up for the TabPro S2. Add those changes, and next-generation hardware, and Samsung could have a decent challenger to the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 and ThinkPad X1 tablets of the world. We’ll be excited to see whatever changes Samsung provides. The Windows 2-in-1 market is expanding at a rapid pace, as PC makers try to match what Microsoft itself did with the Surface. Mobile companies like Samsung getting in on the action is sure to prompt a variety of new ideas, making both the tablet and PC ecosystems more interesting. Good news, Samsung fans: it seems likely the Galaxy S25 FE will release before the end of the year. Samsung has released an FE (Fan Edition) of its main flagship every year since the Galaxy S20, with the exception of 2021. The news that the Galaxy S25 FE is on the way isn’t really news — it’s been leaked several times before — but SamMobile has now discovered the firmware for the US variant of the phone, assuaging worries that Samsung might skip this generation. Some fans feared that, due to the upcoming Galaxy S25 Edge, there might not be a Fan Edition in 2025. According to SamMobile, the US version for the Galaxy S25 FE uses model number SM-S731U and firmware version S731USQU0AYDH. This doesn’t mean much on its own, but it’s a distinct identifier confirming a US model is on the way. If Samsung sticks to timing from years past, the Galaxy S25 FE is likely to drop sometime around September or October. One of Samsung’s upcoming best smartphones is getting closer and closer to its rumored release date, and as we get there, more and more specs begin to leak out. Today, we learned that the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge might have a camera that will rival some of its much larger rivals. The leak comes from SammyGuru, which managed to spot an interesting detail on a Samsung shipping manifest. According to the publication’s findings, the S25 Edge will have the same selfie camera as other phones in the S25 lineup, which would spell good news for the Android flagship. After all, being more compact, one might expect the camera to take a hit, but so far, that doesn’t seem to be the case. Samsung has been quite a tease with its upcoming razor-thin (only, figuratively!) phone, first showcasing it at the Unpacked event back in January. Since then, the barrage of leaks has been let loose, giving us practically every piece of information — though mostly unverified — about Galaxy S25 Edge. Although the Edge was set to launch in mid-April, it was pushed ahead by a few weeks, with the latest rumor pointing at a May 13 announcement in Korea. Just a day after we learned that, we have learned about the Galaxy S25 Edge’s official pricing and storage options, and the leak comes not from a third party but Samsung itself. Samsung’s Canadian website briefly listed the prices of the 256GB and 521GB variants of the Galaxy S25 Edge as part of a promotion for the recently launched Galaxy S10FE tablets. The webpage, as captured by trusted leaker Roland Quandt, shows what could possibly be the official MSRP of the upcoming slim phone. Quandt shared the screenshot on Bluesky, a social media platform built to replicate what Twitter used to be before Elon Musk bought it and rebranded it to X.
