Good luck finding a GTX 1070 today

If you can find yourself a GTX 1070 in stock somewhere, it’s probably a good idea to throw some money at it, because getting one anywhere is becoming highly difficult. Granted there are a few scalpers looking to rip people off as they hunt out the new must-have, mid-range card, but for the most part there are almost none available anywhere. This might seem strange considering how many retailers are out there that ship high-end computer components, but we really did our best to find some today and we just can’t seem to spot many at all. Newegg has a single listing for the Founders Edition of the GTX 1070, but it’s sold out. BHPhotoVideo has a few options for Asus, EVGA, and the MSI Founders Editions, but none of them are in stock either. You’re encouraged to take a look at the GTX 1080 or GTX 970 instead. Both of these are great cards in their own right, but neither offers the price/performance ratio of a GTX 1070. Even Nvidia’s own store has run dry. There do appear to be a few GTX 1070s with system sellers though. BestBuy has a number of CyberPowerPC systems which come with GTX 1070s inside. Likewise Origin PC has the 1070 listed as part of its configurator, so it must have a few in stock for those who want one. The same can be said for iBuyPower. If you are really desperate to buy yourself a GTX 1070 by itself though, you can find them on Ebay, but much like the aforementioned Amazon listing, the prices are very unfair. They aren’t quite over $1,000 but we still wouldn’t recommend it. If you have that sort of money to burn, just grab a GTX 1080 instead. Nvidia’s midrange graphics lineup is far more robust in 2020 than it was this time last year, with a much broader array of options for gamers on a budget. Being spoiled for choice does have its own drawbacks though, namely that picking the right graphics card for you is much harder. Availability and pricing Nvidia’s Super refresh of its RTX and GTX series of Turing graphics cards was swift, with the GTX 1650 Super landing just seven months after the standard GTX 1650. Like other Super cards, the GTX 1650 Super improves on its older sibling in a number of ways. However, as of February 2021, the prices for both cards have shot through the roof, so much so that we wouldn’t consider them “budget” graphics cards at all.
