Prime Day was a 48-hour event chock-full of sales. But, just because Prime Day is over it doesn’t mean all the best sales are gone. Holiday sales have just begun and the rest of the year is going to be jam-packed with Back Friday, Cyber Monday, and Christmas sales. Amazon has already started listing tons of great holiday deals on tech, home goods, and more. We’ll be rounding up the best offers you should know about below, so keep reading!
There are going to be a lot of new offers daily, the closer we get to Black Friday. Keep your eyes peeled for any must-have offers that go live in the run-up to the event. If you see a gadget you really want at a really low price, buy it. You can always return it later if you see a better deal pop up during Black Friday or even Cyber Monday. Amazon also extended its return policy this year to 2021, so anything you shop now can be returned by the end of January. This is particularly great if you’re in charge of buying all the gifts. If your loved one doesn’t like what you bought them, you have extended time to return those goods and buy them something new. There are also going to be tons of holiday lightning deals, so make sure to watch out for those. Lightning deals are usually daily deals that have a limited amount of stock assigned to them. If you see something you like don’t hesitate to click “buy.” Chances are, that product won’t see another discount anytime soon. One important buying tip to keep in mind: Always check reviews and do a little bit of research before you purchase any product. Though Amazon is a pretty trustworthy site, there are always a few rotten deals floating around. A simple check of the ratings and reviews on the product’s page should usually do the trick. If you’re looking to buy a bigger tech gadget, check out our product reviews before so you know what you’re getting yourself into. Finally, make sure to get most of your holiday shopping done in advance. Amazon might see extended shipping delays the closer we get to Christmas. There’s no doubt that Nvidia makes some of the best graphics cards you can buy, but if you’re shopping Prime Day deals, you’ll want to take a careful look at Team Red. There’s barely an Nvidia GPU in sight that’s on sale, and even among those that are discounted, the prices aren’t very good. On the other hand, AMD has cards marked down from already reduced prices, making Prime Day the perfect time to score a deal on a GPU. By far, the best deal I’ve found is the XFX Speedster QICK319 RX 7800 XT. You can read more about the card in my RX 7800 XT review, but in short, it trades blows and sometimes even beats Nvidia’s $600 RTX 4070 Super. The price right now is insane, too. This model normally sells for $520, but it’s 18% off for Prime Day, bringing the price down to $427. Ask any parent, and there’s a few universal truths when it comes to our kids: They lose things. They break things. They have zero appreciation for the money you spend on them. (And one day, should they have their own children, a light bulb will go on and they’ll suddenly get it.) What’s that have to do with the latest
? Everything. The Amazon Echo Buds are a 2023 release, which is fine. They also retail for $50. But with Amazon Prime Big Deal Days, these relatively basic buds can be had for a mere $25. While I’m never in favor of just setting cash on fire, that’s what I’d call throwaway money. In other words, I’d buy these buds for my kid and not lose a minute of sleep if and when they go missing. (The buds. Not the kid.) This Prime Day, you may find yourself in the market for a new PS5 controller. You could get a standard DualSense for under $70 — and even get one in a fancy color — but you might be looking for something a little more premium to get a better deal. Your eye might instead be drawn to the DualSense Edge, Sony’s answer to the Xbox Elite Series 2. But there’s an even better option. The Victrix Pro BFG is
for $165. It may not be a first-party Sony controller, but it’s still the best PS5 gamepad you can buy right now.
