Due to some recent release date shuffling, the animated film DC League of Super-Pets won’t be premiering later this month as originally intended. Perhaps in part to tide fans over, Warner Bros. has released a new trailer for the kid-friendly superhero movie. In the latest footage, Krypto (Dwayne Johnson) loves his life with Clark Kent/Superman (John Krasinski). But he’s much less enthusiastic about the love of Clark’s life, Lois Lane. Unfortunately for Krypto, the good times aren’t going to last. When Marc Maron was cast as Lex Luthor, it was assumed that he would be the main bad guy in the film. However, the latest trailer reveals that the primary villain is actually Lulu (Kate McKinnon), a super intelligent and very tiny guinea pig. Our guess is that Lulu is Lex’s pet, because she has access to Kryptonite, which is more than enough to capture Superman. And with the Man of Steel out of the way, the Justice League will also fall to Lulu’s power. Fortunately for both Krypto and the heroes, a group of shelter animals has been gifted with superpowers of their own. The trailer reveals how PB the pig gained her size-altering ability, while Merton the turtle picked up Flash-like speed, and Chip the squirrel took on electricity powers. As for Ace, the future Bat-hound has strength to rival Krypto, as well as invulnerability. Kevin Hart co-stars as Ace the Bat-Hound, with Vanessa Bayer as PB, Natasha Lyonne as Merton, Diego Luna as Chip, and Keanu Reeves as Bruce Wayne/Batman. Thomas Middleditch, Ben Schwartz, and Jameela Jamil will also have parts in the film, but their specific characters haven’t been announced yet. Jared Stern directed the film from a script he co-wrote with John Whittington. DC League of Super-Pets will hit theaters on Friday, July 29. Because he was essentially the first superhero, Superman has a long and storied history filled with villains. Some of them are iconic, and some of them were complete duds. In that long history, though, Superman has also faced a number of incredibly powerful villains. After all, because Superman is also one of the most powerful villains in superhero history, he has to face some insanely powerful villains in order to come up against an actual threat. Superman usually wins the fight, even when he comes up against these villains, but the fights are certainly a little close for comfort. These five baddies are not only some of the most powerful villains the superhero has faced in his 84 years of existence, but they are also some of the most fearsome foes that have ever been created.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie | Official Teaser Trailer
Nintendo and Illumination Entertainment — the Universal Pictures animation studio known for creating Despicable Me, Sing, and The Secret Life of Pets — first announced a movie based on the iconic Super Mario Bros. video game series in 2018. While series creator Shigeru Miyamoto was a producer on the film from the start and Nintendo acquired a film studio during this movie’s production, the announcement that really turned heads was the September 2021 Nintendo Direct, where its shocking all-star cast was revealed.Â
During its segment in that Direct, we learned that Chris Pratt is Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy is Princess Peach, Charlie Day is Luigi, Keegan-Michael Key is Toad, Seth Rogan is Donkey Kong, Fred Armisen is Cranky Kong, Kevin Michael Richardson is Kamek, Sebastian Maniscalco is Foreman Spike, and Jack Black is Bowser. They all felt like odd choices at the time of the announcement, and from this trailer, we learned what Kamek, Bowser, Mario, Toad, and Luigi will all sound like.Â
While The Super Mario Bros. Movie was originally going to come out this year, you can now expect the animated feature to hit theaters on April 7, 2023 in the United States and April 28, 2023 in Japan. The DC Extended Universe has never needed a Superman more than it does now. What it’s gotten is Black Adam. Dwayne Johnson’s antihero has powers and strength that are comparable to the Man of Steel’s abilities. They may even be greater than Superman’s gifts. But the thing that makes Black Adam so dangerous is that he lacks the moral compass of a hero. And he absolutely does not hold back in the newly released trailer for Black Adam. The only question now is will Black Adam use his powers to save this world from itself? Or will he destroy it instead?
